Job Description

Step into a meaningful contract opportunity as a school social worker, providing impactful support for elementary-age students at two welcoming locations near Schaumburg, IL. In this onsite position, you'll play a crucial role in helping children thrive, working directly with students in both Autism and Intellectual Disabilities classrooms. This assignment runs from mid-August through early October, offering a rewarding way to make a difference at the start of the school year.

Youll work 32.5 hours per week on a consistent daytime schedule from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, complete with a 30-minute duty-free lunch. Engage with dedicated teams and collaborate with educators and parents to address students' social, emotional, and behavioral goals.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with school social work endorsement
  • Prior experience collaborating within a school environment preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills suitable for supporting diverse learners
  • Comfortable working onsite across two elementary schools

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct social work services to elementary students in four specialty classrooms (two for students with Autism, two for students with Intellectual Disabilities)
  • Participate in team meetings, IEP planning, and family consultations
  • Maintain timely documentation and comply with state and district guidelines
  • Foster a safe, supportive environment enhancing students learning and development
