Job Description

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid state licensure/certification as a School Social Worker
  • Experience working within school settings (elementary, middle, or high school; K-12 experience for the comprehensive role is a plus)
  • Strong skills in counseling, crisis intervention, and collaborating with educational teams
  • Deep understanding of child and adolescent development
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with students, families, and staff

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide social, emotional, and behavioral support to students across designated grade levels (K-12 or high school)
  • Conduct assessments and implement individualized plans to address students needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to develop strategies that promote student well-being and a positive school climate
  • Serve as a liaison between school, families, and community resources to ensure comprehensive support
  • Facilitate individual and group counseling
  • Support critical interventions and crisis response as needed
