Youll serve as a compassionate resource, collaborating with school teams and facilitating positive student outcomes.
Key Qualifications:
- Must hold a current New Mexico LMSW credential
- Interest in or eligibility for supervision toward LCSW is highly valued
- Experience in school or child-focused settings preferred
- Proficiency in small group facilitation and individual counseling
- Strong skills in communication, relationship-building, and collaboration with school staff
- Adept at crisis intervention and conflict resolution
- Commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide proactive support to grade-level groups and small cohorts, delivering targeted lessons based on data and observed needs
- Offer individualized and group counseling services to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
- Respond effectively to crisis situations as part of the schools support network
- Work collaboratively with teachers and school administration to tailor interventions, monitor progress, and adjust strategies for student success
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of services provided, complying with all relevant policies and standards
- Contribute to a caring school culture that prioritizes mental health and student well-being
This contract position offers a consistent weekly schedule of 35 hours, with the opportunity to make a lasting difference from now through late May, 2027. Supervision for LCSW advancement is available, providing room for professional growth as you guide students through pivotal years.
