Key Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
• Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a School Social Worker
• Experience in a K-12 school environment preferred
• Strong understanding of child development, crisis intervention, and counseling practices
• Exceptional communication abilities and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Competence in handling confidential situations with discretion and professionalism

Primary Responsibilities:

• Offer one-on-one and group counseling to students experiencing academic, behavioral, or social challenges
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized intervention plans
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to advocate for students needs
• Connect students and their families with community resources and external support services
• Assist with crisis management and provide short-term interventions as needed
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary assessments
• Deliver staff and parent training on topics related to student well-being and mental health
• Maintain up-to-date, accurate records in accordance with school policies and state regulations
