Job Description

Located in San Jose, CA, this travel assignment offers licensed clinical social workers an opportunity to support K-12 students in a dynamic school setting. With four openings available, candidates will be placed in one school within the district for a full school year, working approximately 30 hours per week.

This role focuses on providing comprehensive social work services to students, helping address social, emotional, and behavioral needs, and collaborating with educators, families, and support staff to promote student well-being and academic success. Candidates with an LCSW license are required; PPS credential is not necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individual and group counseling to students across K-12 grade levels, tailored to best fit student needs.
  • Conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, and monitor progress.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support students mental health and learning.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district policies.
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential.
  • Experience working in school settings preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to supporting diverse student populations.
