Social Worker positions are available for a contract role supporting K-12 students in a San Jose, CA school setting. This opportunity suits Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs) interested in providing onsite social work services with a flexible, part-time schedule of approximately 30 hours per week. Four openings are available, each assigned to one school within the district, with caseloads tailored to the age group best suited for your expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver clinical social work services to students across K-12 grade levels.
  • Conduct assessments, provide counseling, and develop intervention plans addressing academic, social, and emotional challenges.
  • Collaborate with school staff, families, and community resources to support student well-being.
  • Maintain compliance with all district policies and applicable regulations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid LCSW license required; PPS credential is not necessary.
  • Experience working in school settings preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong skills in student-focused counseling and case management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

  • Contract period: Immediate start through the end of the school year.
  • Hours: Approximately 30 hours per week.
