Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Valid licensure as a School Social Worker in Minnesota
- Experience supporting students in elementary, middle, and/or high school settings
- Strong understanding of child and adolescent development
- Familiarity with IEP processes, Section 504, and special education services
- Outstanding communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to create and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and families
- Flexibility and adaptability in diverse educational environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct social-emotional assessments and provide direct interventions to students
- Offer crisis intervention and conflict resolution support
- Participate in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Facilitate group and individual counseling sessions
- Coordinate with school personnel, families, and community agencies to connect students with needed resources
- Support and advocate for students academic, social, and emotional growth
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with district and legal guidelines
