This contract position invites a passionate, experienced Social Worker to provide vital support, advocacy, and guidance for young learners as they reach key milestones in their journeys.
What Were Looking For:
- Valid Social Worker license applicable in Minnesota
- Prior experience in elementary, middle, and/or high school settings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, families, and educators
- Ability to manage a varied caseload across multiple age groups
- Understanding of IEP/504 processes and knowledge of socio-emotional interventions
- Resourcefulness and creativity when supporting students with diverse needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling for students facing academic, social, or emotional challenges
- Develop intervention strategies in collaboration with teachers and administrators
- Advise parents and guardians to help build supportive home and school environments
- Lead crisis response efforts as needed, ensuring student safety and wellbeing
- Serve as a link between school, home, and external agencies to coordinate support services
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to student plans
- Advocate for students and promote a welcoming, inclusive school culture
