A reputable school district in Saint Paul, MN is seeking a Licensed School Social Worker for a temporary onsite assignment covering an FMLA leave from early April to early May 2026. This 0.9 FTE contract position offers approximately five weeks to make a meaningful impact supporting students facing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges impacting their academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect social work services addressing students social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Support students whose challenges affect their educational performance and wellbeing
- Perform special education due process duties, including serving as an administrative designee on IEP teams
- Facilitate meetings, maintain thorough documentation, and complete all due process paperwork
- Collaborate closely with staff, families, and administration to promote student success
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in education or a closely related field
- Valid School Social Worker license issued by the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE)
- Prior experience working within school settings is preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to effectively engage with students, families, and school personnel
Location: Saint Paul, Minnesota
Duration: Approximately 5 weeks, from April 6, 2026, to May 8, 2026
Schedule: Part-time, 0.9 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE)
