Qualifications:

  • Current and valid School Social Worker license issued through PELSB
  • Demonstrated experience working in K-12 educational settings preferred
  • Strong communication, counseling, and advocacy skills
  • Ability to provide crisis intervention and facilitate resource referrals
  • Familiarity with IEP plans, 504 plans, and special education processes a plus
  • Compassion, cultural sensitivity, and professional integrity

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct social-emotional support and counseling to students
  • Conduct needs assessments and implement intervention plans
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and community agencies to maximize student well-being
  • Advocate for students and coordinate services they may require
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP/504 planning
  • Serve as a resource for preventative programs and promote an inclusive school environment
