A full-time Social Worker position is available within a school district in Saint Joseph, MI. This contract role is essential for providing comprehensive social-emotional and behavioral support to students across the district, working onsite to create a positive impact on the learning environment. The position is open to travelers and offered on a W-2 contract basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct social-emotional and behavioral support to students individually and in small groups.
• Conduct thorough assessments to identify social, emotional, and environmental factors affecting student learning.
• Develop and implement behavior intervention plans collaboratively with staff and families.
• Support students with IEPs by providing social work services aligned with their educational goals.
• Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing to eligibility decisions and service recommendations.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, counselors, and support staff to foster a positive school climate.
• Provide crisis intervention, restorative practices, and conflict resolution to support student well-being.

Qualifications:

• Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
• Full or Temporary Approval as a School Social Worker in Michigan.
• Strong knowledge of MTSS, trauma-informed approaches, and social-emotional learning strategies.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Ability to successfully pass background checks and drug screening.
