Qualifications & Credentials:

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Work (SSW) endorsement required
• Experience supporting children or students in educational or similar settings preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and advocacy skills
• Ability to develop rapport with children, families, and staff
• Flexibility and professionalism in managing a caseload with variable student numbers

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide social-emotional support and counseling for elementary students on your caseload
• Collaborate with teachers, school counselors, and administration to address student needs
• Conduct assessments and create effective intervention plans for students facing social, behavioral, or emotional challenges
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold confidentiality standards
• Communicate proactively with families and caregivers, supporting student success both in and out of the classroom
