This opportunity seeks a fully licensed and certified School Social Worker to provide crucial intervention and support services within a K-12 educational setting in Saginaw, MI. This role focuses on delivering specialized assistance tailored to students with special education needs through small groups, moderate groups, and one-on-one sessions. The placement is a contract position for the school year, requiring onsite attendance and consistent collaboration with educators and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver intervention support to special education students across K-12 or specific grade levels (Elementary, Middle, or High School) depending on school needs.
• Conduct targeted small group and individualized sessions aimed at addressing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement effective support plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school district and state regulations for special education services.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance practice.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Masters degree in Social Work.
• Full Approval or Social Worker Certificate through the Michigan Department of Education or SSW 310 credential letter with application started.
• Current Michigan State Social Worker license through LARA.
• Experience working with special education populations in school settings preferred.
• Strong communication skills and an ability to adapt intervention approaches to varied age groups.

Location and Schedule:

• Onsite position located in Saginaw, Michigan.
• Approximately 35 hours per week during the school year.
