Job Description
This onsite school social work position in Saginaw, MI offers an excellent opportunity for licensed professionals to support special education students through targeted interventions. Working within a K-12 environment, caseload assignments may vary based on school needs, ranging from elementary (K-6), middle school, to high school (7-12). This role focuses primarily on providing intervention support in small or moderate group settings as well as one-on-one with students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver social work services tailored to special education students within appropriate educational settings
- Conduct individual and group interventions to promote student well-being and academic success
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement support strategies
- Document student progress and maintain case records in compliance with school and regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited program
- Full Approval or Social Worker Certificate awarded by the Michigan Department of Education (MDE), or possession of an SSW 310 credential letter with an active application process through MDE
- Valid Michigan State Social Worker license issued by the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA)
- Experience working with K-12 students, preferably in special education or school-based settings
Location and Schedule:
- Position is onsite in Saginaw, Michigan
- Full-time contract, 35 hours per week
