Qualifications and Experience:

  • Strong understanding of social-emotional learning, crisis intervention, and behavioral strategies
  • Excellent communication and advocacy skills
  • Ability to adapt to diverse school cultures and rapidly changing situations
  • Adept at maintaining detailed case notes and confidentiality

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling services to students with social, emotional, or behavioral concerns
  • Partner with teachers, staff, and parents to design and implement effective intervention plans
  • Conduct risk assessments and crisis intervention as needed
  • Develop strategies to enhance school climate and student engagement
  • Serve as a liaison between schools, families, and community resources
  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
  • Promote equity and inclusion by advocating for student needs
