Youll collaborate closely with teachers, counselors, administrators, and families to remove barriers to learning and to empower students from elementary through high school.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid school social work credential or eligibility to obtain certification for California schools
- Experience providing counseling and case management services within a school setting preferred
- Strong understanding of diverse student needs, including at-risk populations and students with disabilities
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
- Adept at developing and implementing student intervention plans
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group counseling for students experiencing academic, emotional, or behavioral challenges
- Facilitate communication and resource access among families, school personnel, and community agencies
- Conduct assessments to identify student needs and recommend appropriate services, interventions, or referrals
- Contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and 504 planning processes
- Maintain accurate documentation and case notes in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Provide crisis intervention and participate in preventative education initiatives as needed
