Job Description

A school district in Stillman Valley, Illinois is seeking a dedicated School Social Worker for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract position offers the opportunity to support middle and high school students through comprehensive social work services. The ideal candidate will manage a caseload of approximately 35-40 students, spanning grades 6 through 12, fostering student well-being and contributing to a positive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling to students addressing social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
  • Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop support plans and interventions.
  • Conduct assessments and develop strategies to promote students' academic and social success.
  • Facilitate referrals to community resources as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reports related to student services.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student progress.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed School Social Worker credential or eligibility per state requirements.
  • Experience working with adolescent populations in a school setting preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage a caseload effectively and maintain confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of community resources and mental health services.
  • Flexibility to work within a weekly schedule of 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Location: Stillman Valley, Illinois

Schedule: Contract role for the 2026-2027 academic year with a weekly schedule of 7:30-3:30 or 8:00-4:00, with some flexibility.
