As a school-based social worker, youll work in a welcoming contract position where your expertise guides students and families through challenges, fosters positive change, and helps create an inclusive learning environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Current social work license or certification valid for practice in educational settings
• Demonstrated experience collaborating with students in elementary, middle, and/or high schools
• Strong background in crisis intervention, counseling, and behavioral support
• Familiarity with IEP meetings, special education processes, and school-based advocacy
• Excellent communication skills to partner with teachers, administrators, and families
• Ability to manage a dynamic caseload and adapt interventions for diverse needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to students facing academic, social, emotional, or behavioral concerns
• Consult with educators and families to devise and implement intervention plans
• Assist in developing social-emotional learning programs and facilitate classroom presentations
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams, contributing to IEPs and supporting at-risk students
• Advocate for student well-being and access to community resources
• Maintain accurate case notes and documentation in compliance with regulations
