Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Michigan Social Work licensure, with school social work approval preferred
• Experience or strong interest in supporting students in elementary, middle, and high schools
• Solid understanding of child and adolescent development, behavioral interventions, and crisis management
• Proficiency in assessments, implementing IEP goals, and delivering counseling services
• Effective communicator, able to build rapport with students, staff, and families
• Collaborative team player who thrives in an educational environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling aimed at supporting academic achievement, social skills, and emotional well-being
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop effective intervention strategies
• Conduct assessments and participate in the development and implementation of IEPs and 504 Plans
• Assist in crisis intervention and prevention programming, fostering a safe and inclusive school community
• Serve as a vital link between school, home, and community resources, advocating for student needs
• Document services and maintain accurate records in accordance with district and regulatory guidelines
