Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure and/or certification for school-based social work
- Previous experience working within a school environment strongly preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Demonstrated skills in crisis intervention, individual and group counseling
- Ability to collaborate with staff, parents, and community agencies
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet diverse student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and small group counseling sessions to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
- Facilitate communication between home, school, and community service providers
- Develop and implement intervention plans for students requiring additional support
- Participate in case conferences, IEP meetings, and multidisciplinary teams
- Provide resources, referrals, and support for students and families as needed
- Advocate for students educational and social-emotional needs
- Offer professional guidance and consultation to teachers and administrators
- Promote a positive and inclusive school climate
