Desired Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
  • Valid state licensure/certification to practice as a School Social Worker or eligibility to obtain
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting is preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities for working with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Deep understanding of child and adolescent development, crisis intervention, and behavioral support strategies
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct social-emotional support and counseling services to students
  • Assess student needs and develop actionable intervention plans to promote well-being and academic success
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and school administrators to support at-risk youth
  • Act as a liaison between families, community agencies, and the school to ensure a network of support
  • Participate in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans as needed
  • Provide crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and proactive prevention services
  • Maintain thorough documentation and comply with all legal and ethical standards
