Job Description

In this role, you will support elementary-aged students by providing essential social services, helping them build resilience and reach their fullest potential. Youll manage a single school caseload, allowing you to form consistent, impactful relationships with students and staff throughout the assignment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Rhode Island Social Worker license required
  • Experience in school settings or with elementary-age children preferred
  • Ability to maintain accurate service logs for Medicaid reimbursement
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Willingness to complete a National BCI background check and fingerprinting

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and indirect social work services to elementary students
  • Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and support to students and families
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Log service interactions for Medicaid reimbursement
  • Adhere to professional standards and school policies
  • Contribute to a safe, nurturing school culture

Youll work approximately 35 hours per week with flexibility to fit your schedule. The interview process is streamlined and takes place over Zoom, with decisions made quickly so you can plan ahead.
