Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a licensed Social Worker this winter and early spring. Located just outside Providence, this assignment starts January 27th and runs through March 28th, with the potential to extend through the end of the school year. Youll work with one school, providing essential social work services to a young caseload during a leave of absence, and play a crucial role in student well-being.
What youll bring:
- Active Rhode Island Social Worker license
- Experience delivering social work services within elementary school settings
- Strong documentation skills, including logging for Medicaid reimbursement
- Ability to collaborate with educators, administrators, and families
- Compassionate, student-centered approach
- Ability to start promptly after hiring/onboarding and complete required fingerprinting/background check
Role highlights:
- Serve one elementary school, providing direct and consultative services to students in grades K-5
- Carry out service documentation for Medicaid compliance
- Participate in school team meetings as needed, partnering with a supportive, welcoming faculty
- Help students with academic, emotional, or social challenges and act as an advocate for their needs
- Maintain thorough case notes and progress reporting for services provided
