Job Description

An opportunity is available for a Licensed Social Worker to provide coverage for a leave of absence in an elementary school setting in Portsmouth, RI. This contract role involves working with young students to address their social, emotional, and behavioral needs, supporting their overall well-being within the school environment. The position offers 35 hours per week, from January 27th through March 28th, with a possibility of extension until the end of the school year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized social work services to elementary-aged students
  • Maintain accurate documentation of services provided for Medicaid reimbursement
  • Collaborate with school staff to support student success and well-being
  • Adhere to district policies and reporting requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current Rhode Island Social Worker license required
  • Experience working with elementary school populations preferred
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with state and federal regulations
  • Willingness to complete national background check with fingerprints prior to start
  • Comfort with remote interview process and timely contract finalization
