A licensed Social Worker is sought to provide essential leave coverage for an elementary school caseload in Portsmouth, RI. This contract opportunity runs from January 27th through March 28th, with potential extension through the end of the school year. The position requires 35 hours per week supporting young students in a welcoming, supportive school environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Deliver direct social work services to elementary students to address social-emotional and behavioral needs
• Accurately document all services provided for Medicaid reimbursement compliance
• Collaborate with school staff and maintain confidentiality in all interactions
• Complete required documentation and adhere to district policies
• Comply with background screenings including national BCI and fingerprinting prior to start

Qualifications:

• Valid Rhode Island Social Worker license
• Experience working with the elementary age group in school settings preferred
• Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with students, families, and educators
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate service logging
