Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct social work services to a diverse group of approximately 40 students across two elementary schools and one preschool classroom.
• Consult with teachers, staff, and families to support student well-being and success within the classroom and beyond.
• Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans targeting each childs unique requirements.
• Address attendance, behavioral, and adjustment issues, working proactively with families and other school professionals.
• Maintain clear, confidential records in compliance with applicable guidelines and regulations.
• Participate actively in student support meetings, offering expertise in mental health and social/emotional development.
• Foster a positive, understanding environment for students of all backgrounds.

Qualifications:

• Michigan Department of Education Approval as a School Social Worker (required).
• Experience working in an elementary or preschool setting preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Collaborative spirit and ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Competence managing multiple cases and adapting to dynamic school needs.
