Desired Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited program
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain
  • Experience working with students in elementary, middle, or high school environments
  • Strong counseling, crisis intervention, and advocacy skills
  • Ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success
  • Knowledge of child and adolescent development, educational systems, and community resources
  • Clear, compassionate communication and documentation abilities
  • Flexible, adaptive mindset to respond to diverse student needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct counseling, support, and intervention services to students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral concerns
  • Assist with development and implementation of strategies for positive student engagement and attendance
  • Collaborate with faculty, administration, and families to develop individualized plans for student support
  • Connect families and students to appropriate community resources as needed
  • Facilitate small group counseling sessions and classroom presentations on relevant topics
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) processes as appropriate
  • Maintain confidential and accurate student records in compliance with district and legal standards
