School Social Worker Pontiac, MI
Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a dedicated School Social Worker to support students in a school-based setting in Pontiac, Michigan. This is a great opportunity for a compassionate social worker who is passionate about helping students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally while collaborating closely with educators, families, and school teams.
Position Highlights
- Provide individual and group social-emotional support to students
- Support students with behavioral, emotional, and academic challenges
- Participate in IEP meetings, student support planning, and multidisciplinary collaboration
- Complete assessments, documentation, and case management as needed
- Communicate with families and connect students with appropriate school and community resources
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, special education staff, and related service providers
Qualifications
- Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) or equivalent
- Valid Michigan School Social Worker credential, such as a Professional School Social Worker Certificate, Preliminary School Social Worker Certificate, or School Social Worker Permit
- Michigan social work licensure through LARA as required for the applicable school credential
- School-based experience preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
