Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois Social Worker license is required
  • Previous experience working within a school setting is highly valued
  • Knowledge of IEP processes; familiarity with EasyIEP software preferred
  • Understanding of state and district-specific standards (PEL or related credentials as required)
  • Strong communication, organizational, and advocacy skills
  • Ability to work onsite and effectively manage a caseload

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative social work services to a caseload of 21 students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and one student receiving 504 support each week
  • Conduct assessments, develop interventions, and assist teams with IEP/504 meetings
  • Support students in addressing social-emotional, behavioral, and academic challenges
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation using EasyIEP
  • Collaborate with school staff, parents, and external agencies to support holistic student growth
  • Uphold ethical practices while adhering to state and district regulations
