Desired Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution
- Valid state licensure or eligibility as a School Social Worker
- Prior experience working with children and adolescents in educational settings
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and advocacy skills
- Ability to assess and address a variety of social, emotional, and behavioral concerns
- Comfortable supporting students from diverse backgrounds and circumstances
- Collaborative mindset for working with multidisciplinary school teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support and counseling to students experiencing academic, social, or personal challenges
- Conduct assessments and develop intervention strategies tailored to individual needs
- Serve as a liaison between home, school, and community resources
- Offer crisis response and mediation services as needed
- Lead or participate in IEP and 504 meetings, and create relevant documentation
- Deliver classroom guidance and workshops on topics such as conflict resolution, anti-bullying, and mental health awareness
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student well-being
