Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited program
- Valid state Social Work license and/or school social work credential (or ability to obtain)
- Previous experience as a Social Worker in an educational setting preferred
- Strong collaboration and consultation abilities with educators, families, and community partners
- Familiarity with crisis intervention and trauma-informed practices
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills
- Clear background check and required immunizations
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students facing emotional, behavioral, or social challenges
- Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans for students in need
- Serve as a liaison connecting students, families, and community resources to enhance overall well-being
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other staff to develop strategies promoting a supportive learning environment
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, Individualized Education Plan (IEP) teams, and student support services
- Deliver crisis intervention and advocate for students rights and needs
- Maintain accurate records and confidential documentation according to school and legal guidelines
