Key Qualifications:
- Current school social worker license issued by PELSB is required.
- Experience working as a school social worker or in related social services roles within educational settings.
- In-depth understanding of social-emotional learning, crisis intervention, and community resource coordination.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build rapport and maintain professional relationships with students, staff, and families from diverse backgrounds.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide group and individual counseling to students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.
- Develop, implement, and monitor intervention plans tailored to individual student needs.
- Facilitate collaboration between students, families, educators, and community agencies to support student success.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the assessment process.
- Deliver crisis intervention as needed and assist in creating a safe, inclusive school climate.
