Job Description

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution
  • Current and active licensure as a School Social Worker or ability to obtain licensure in Washington State
  • Prior experience working with children or adolescents in a school setting strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of current best practices for crisis intervention, counseling, and case management
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations
  • Flexible, compassionate, and reliable approach to problem-solving and advocacy

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling for students experiencing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges
  • Partner with teachers, staff and families to develop and implement support plans
  • Assist with crisis intervention, safety planning, and conflict resolution as needed
  • Conduct assessments to identify student needs and recommend appropriate resources or referrals
  • Support students facing issues such as bullying, trauma, attendance, or family changes
  • Maintain accurate recordkeeping and ensure confidentiality in all matters
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to promote student well-being and school success
