Make a difference as a dedicated Social Worker serving students in a welcoming school environment near Olympia, WA. This contract opportunity allows you to provide direct support and resources to students and families, helping foster positive change and promote academic success. Youll collaborate closely with educators and administrators to address various student needs, developing and implementing action plans tailored for individual situations.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for school social work credentials
- Previous experience working in a K-12 environment is highly preferred
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Compassionate and proactive approach to student welfare
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
- Familiarity with crisis intervention and case management
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students facing academic, behavioral, and social challenges
- Develop and facilitate intervention plans to support student well-being
- Collaborate with families, teachers, and community resources
- Document interactions, progress, and recommend referrals as needed
- Provide crisis counseling, advocacy, and connect students to supportive services
- Lead small group or classroom sessions on relevant social-emotional issues
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to build supportive environments
