Qualifications and Experience:

• Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
• Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a School Social Worker
• Previous experience in a school, educational, or child-focused setting preferred
• Strong understanding of child and adolescent development
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and crisis-management skills
• Sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and family systems
• Ability to maintain timely and thorough documentation

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions for students
• Address social, behavioral, and emotional challenges impacting academic performance
• Develop intervention strategies alongside teachers and administrators
• Serve as a liaison between school, families, and community agencies
• Provide crisis intervention and support when needed
• Assist in creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive school culture
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student evaluations
• Keep thorough and confidential records in accordance with school and legal requirements
