Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid state licensure as a School Social Worker (or eligibility)
- Previous experience in a school-based setting highly preferred
- Proficiency in counseling, behavioral intervention, and crisis management
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with students, staff, and families
- Comfortable managing a varied caseload, collaborating on IEPs, and documenting services
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct social-emotional support and counseling to groups and individual students
- Perform and document student assessments and evaluations (totaling around 45)
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of IEPs
- Assist in designing and implementing school-wide initiatives for positive behavior and inclusion
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state policies
