Job Description
Make a meaningful difference in a school setting while utilizing your expertise as a Social Worker. Two contract opportunities are availableone supporting a K-12 student population, and another focused solely on high school students. Both roles allow you to have a profound impact, providing dedicated support and advocacy to help students thrive academically and socially.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid State Social Worker license or certification required
- Experience working with school-aged children, ideally across K-12 or high school settings
- Strong assessment, intervention, and counseling skills
- Understanding of behavioral management, crisis intervention, and student support strategies
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with staff, students, and families
- Familiarity with IEP and 504 plan processes is preferred
- Flexibility and adaptability to support diverse needs and settings
Responsibilities:
- Provide group and one-on-one counseling to students based on emotional, behavioral, or academic challenges
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop and implement effective support plans
- Facilitate interventions for students at risk and connect families to community resources
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the planning of student interventions
- Support conflict resolution, crisis management, and the creation of positive school climates
- Maintain accurate records, comply with confidentiality guidelines, and document progress
