Desired Background:
- Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
- Valid New Jersey School Social Worker certification (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in elementary, middle, or high school settings preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to effectively support students from diverse backgrounds
- Proficient in crisis intervention, group facilitation, and case management
What Youll Accomplish:
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to support students emotional and behavioral needs
- Partner with teachers, administrators, and families to design and implement effective interventions
- Assist in developing strategies for academic success and improved classroom engagement
- Provide crisis intervention and ongoing support for students experiencing personal or family challenges
- Maintain thorough documentation of student interactions and progress
- Connect families with community resources and external agencies as needed
