Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Social Worker license (LCSW, LISW, or equivalent) for the state
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in school settings
  • Strong knowledge of child development, trauma-informed practices, and crisis intervention
  • Ability to provide support across K-12 populations
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assess students needs and deliver individual/group counseling
  • Collaborate with educators, administrators, and parents/guardians to develop interventions
  • Lead and participate in IEP/504 meetings, creating supportive plans for students
  • Provide crisis response, mediation, and conflict resolution when needed
  • Connect students and families to community services and resources
  • Foster a positive school climate through advocacy and educational workshops
  • Keep thorough, confidential records and document services in compliance with school and district policy
