Key Qualifications:
- Valid Social Worker license (LCSW, LISW, or equivalent) for the state
- Experience working with children and adolescents in school settings
- Strong knowledge of child development, trauma-informed practices, and crisis intervention
- Ability to provide support across K-12 populations
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Compassionate, adaptable, and culturally responsive approach
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess students needs and deliver individual/group counseling
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and parents/guardians to develop interventions
- Lead and participate in IEP/504 meetings, creating supportive plans for students
- Provide crisis response, mediation, and conflict resolution when needed
- Connect students and families to community services and resources
- Foster a positive school climate through advocacy and educational workshops
- Keep thorough, confidential records and document services in compliance with school and district policy
