Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois social worker license required
  • Experience working with students receiving IEP and 504 services preferred
  • Familiarity with EasyIEP software is highly desirable
  • Meets all state or district-specific requirements for school-based social work
  • Strong communication, advocacy, and problem-solving skills with students and families
  • Previous exposure to school environments or collaboration with multidisciplinary teams considered an asset

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct services to a caseload of 21 IEP students and 1 weekly 504 student
  • Conduct assessments, participate in meetings, and develop intervention strategies
  • Support students' academic, emotional, and social growth through counseling and consultation
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure educational and behavioral objectives are met
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation in EasyIEP and adhere to all compliance deadlines
  • Uphold ethical and professional standards in all interactions
