This full-time, contract role (35 hours per week) will support students, families, and staff for the 2026-2027 academic year, providing essential social and emotional assistance in a school-based setting.

Working collaboratively with staff and leveraging your expertise, youll foster a supportive environment and connect students with the resources they need to succeed both in and out of the classroom.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Social Worker licensure in Michigan (or eligibility for licensure)
• School-based social work experience, or strong transferable skills from clinical/community settings
• Solid understanding of adolescent development and behavioral interventions
• Knowledge of IEP processes and special education supports is a plus
• Confident communicator; able to collaborate with educators, administrators, and families
• Compassionate approach and strong crisis-resolution skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and provide short-term individual and group counseling for students
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on IEPs, 504 plans, and student intervention strategies
• Connect students and families to community resources and supports as needed
• Deliver prevention and intervention programs to promote positive school climate
• Support staff in addressing student mental health and behavioral needs
• Maintain confidential records in accordance with district and state guidelines
