Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students with a range of behavioral and academic needs across multiple school sites in the Muskegon region. This full-time position begins August 25th through mid-October, providing essential coverage during a maternity leave. Youll work Monday through Friday, engaging with students at Orchard, Oakridge, and Ravenna locations in the area.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current Michigan School Social Worker license (no supervision available; independent practice required)
• Experience working in a school setting, effectively supporting diverse student populations
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
• Ability to quickly adapt and serve in different educational environments
• Knowledge of behavioral and academic interventions, IEP processes, and student support services

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide social-emotional counseling and support services to students with various behavioral and academic challenges
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and administrators to address student needs
• Facilitate individual and group interventions, social skills development, and crisis management as needed
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, student evaluations, and the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Connect families with community resources and support networks to promote student success
• Thoroughly document all student interactions and services provided according to district policies
