Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
• Active state licensure as a School Social Worker or eligibility to obtain
• Previous experience working in elementary, middle, or high school settings preferred
• Strong understanding of child and adolescent development, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based intervention strategies
• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
• Compassionate, flexible, and culturally responsive approach to working with diverse student populations
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and confidentiality

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions with students to address social, emotional, and behavioral concerns
• Serve as an advocate for students well-being and support their academic and personal growth
• Collaborate with educators, families, and community organizations to develop and implement intervention plans
• Participate in team meetings, IEP/504 processes, and crisis response protocols as needed
• Provide training, resources, and guidance to staff and families on issues impacting student welfare
• Maintain accurate and confidential case records and documentation in accordance with school policies and professional ethics
