Your expertise in school social work will be invaluable as you collaborate with educators and families to create supportive interventions and foster positive student outcomes. You'll be responsible for addressing diverse needs, conducting individual and group counseling, and promoting a safe and inclusive school community.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid SSW (School Social Worker) licensure required
- CDE (Colorado Department of Education) certification mandatory
- Previous experience as a social worker in school settings preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with elementary-aged children
- Ability to adapt to different school cultures and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and small group counseling for elementary students
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop intervention strategies
- Conduct assessments and maintain thorough documentation as required
- Implement programs that address social, emotional, and behavioral needs
