Desired Qualifications:
- Licensed or credentialed as a School Social Worker
- Previous experience in K-12 educational environments, with understanding of various age groups developmental needs
- Proven ability to assess student needs and create individualized intervention plans
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, staff, and families
- Knowledge of social-emotional learning models, trauma-informed practices, and crisis intervention techniques
- Flexibility to adapt to different school cultures and priorities
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct counseling and support services to students at elementary, middle, and high school levels
- Conduct assessments and participate in the development of student support and intervention plans
- Serve as a liaison between students, parents, teachers, and outside agencies as needed
- Deliver classroom presentations and group sessions on social skills, coping strategies, and conflict resolution
- Assist with crisis response, risk assessment, and referrals to community resources
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with school and district policies
