Make a meaningful impact in elementary education by providing both general and special education support to students in a full-time, onsite position. Key Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota SSW license is required
- Previous experience working as a Social Worker in a school setting
- Strong understanding of general and special education systems
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive social work services to K-5 students across general education and special education populations
- Assess students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs and develop intervention plans
- Collaborate closely with educators, support staff, and families to promote positive outcomes
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to the creation and implementation of IEPs when needed
- Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and ongoing support to students
- Serve as a liaison between school, home, and community resources
