Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid school social worker license issued by PELSB required
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, parents, and administration
- Knowledge of child development, mental health, and community resources
- Dedication to fostering student well-being and equity
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct services and interventions to students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions as needed
- Collaborate with educators to develop strategies supporting student success
- Engage with families, offering guidance and connecting them to resources
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to contribute to individualized education plans
- Maintain accurate documentation and case notes in compliance with school and district policies
