Job Description

This full-time, onsite position (35 hours weekly) offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with school staff and students across multiple grade levels and categories. Your expertise in school-based social work will help support interventions for struggling students and contribute to IEP teams, fostering positive social and emotional growth.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active Professional Educator License (PEL) with a school social work endorsement
  • Background in school-based social work and experience supporting students with diverse needs
  • Strong knowledge of developing and implementing Response to Intervention (RTI) strategies
  • Ability to plan and deliver individual, small, and large group interventions for students with behavioral and social-emotional challenges
  • Experience providing counseling services to regular and special education students, including short- and long-term support
  • Skill in adapting resources and support plans to accommodate various learning styles and backgrounds

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the development of students social and emotional skills to enhance their learning experiences
  • Plan and document services for special education students, addressing behavioral and social-emotional goals
  • Provide targeted counseling services for both special and regular education students referred for social/emotional or behavioral difficulties
  • Collaborate with staff to create effective interventions and provide recommendations for student support
  • Adjust resources and strategies to ensure all students unique needs are met
