Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited program required
• Current state licensure as a School Social Worker
• Experience supporting children or adolescents in educational settings
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and advocacy skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and community resources
• Knowledge of crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, and behavioral interventions

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide direct counseling and crisis intervention services to students individually and in groups
• Assess student needs, develop intervention plans, and monitor progress
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to facilitate student success and address barriers to learning
• Connect families with school and community resources, including mental health and social services
• Support the development of positive behavioral interventions and school-wide programs
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams, individualized education program (IEP) meetings, and case conferences
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation, reports, and records
• Promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive school environment
