Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited program required
- Current state licensure as a School Social Worker
- Experience supporting children or adolescents in educational settings
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and advocacy skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and community resources
- Knowledge of crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, and behavioral interventions
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide direct counseling and crisis intervention services to students individually and in groups
- Assess student needs, develop intervention plans, and monitor progress
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to facilitate student success and address barriers to learning
- Connect families with school and community resources, including mental health and social services
- Support the development of positive behavioral interventions and school-wide programs
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams, individualized education program (IEP) meetings, and case conferences
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation, reports, and records
- Promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive school environment
