Key Qualifications:

• Masters degree in social work (MSW) from an accredited program
• Valid professional social work license for practice in North Carolina
• Experience working with children and adolescents, especially within educational or school-based settings
• Strong understanding of mental health issues, crisis intervention, and social-emotional learning
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling for students in need of emotional, behavioral, or social support
• Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and parents to assess student needs and develop intervention plans
• Advocate for students and families while connecting them to community resources and support systems
• Respond to crisis situations and assist with conflict resolution and safety planning
• Document casework, monitor student progress, and maintain confidential records in compliance with policies and regulations
• Support efforts to create a positive school climate that is inclusive and supportive for all students
