Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure/certification as a School Social Worker
- Experience providing counseling, crisis intervention, and support services to children and adolescents
- Strong understanding of behavioral interventions, 504/IEP processes, and restorative practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with compassion and professionalism
- Previous school or youth-focused experience is highly valued
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to address social-emotional, behavioral, and academic concerns
- Respond to student crises and collaborate with school staff to deliver timely interventions
- Support students and families by connecting them to appropriate community resources
- Contribute to multidisciplinary teams for the development and implementation of IEPs, 504 plans, and behavioral interventions
- Work closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to promote a positive school climate
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold standards of ethics and confidentiality
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and ongoing training
